The incident occurred on the I5-722 flight which was scheduled for Monday, 6th April. The flight was going from Bengaluru to Delhi.

A passenger onboard told ANI that the man was behaving in an inappropriate manner, and started arguing about life jackets, and took off all his clothes in front of the crew members. “Firstly, the unruly passenger started a heated argument with the cabin crew about life jackets. He later misbehaved with the crew onboard and suddenly took off all the clothes in the flight," said the passenger.

The man had also broken his laptop and stripped on the flight twice.

An AirAsia India crew member said that the cabin crew members had to make repeated requests to make the man compromise. Finally, he did calm down. A crew member managed to bring the man under control with some help from the other passengers on board. The crew then informed the flight's passengers about the weird incident, then informed Delhi's Air Traffic Controller (ATC) about it. They sought priority landing from the DTC after the incident. As soon as the flight landed, the unruly man was then handed over to the police with help of aviation security CISF.

One of the airline spokespersons said that all the necessary action has been initiated "by AirAsia India based on regulations governing the safety and well being of aircraft and passengers under the disruptive passenger handling policy." The spokesperson also added that such incidents which affect the well-being of the passengers are highly condemned.

Meanwhile, the Delhi police have registered a case against the man, who is now on the no-fly list. Further investigation is still on.
