Man Abducts Marries Woman Forcibly: A Lucknow man allegedly abducted a woman after their engagement broke over dowry disputes. He reportedly sexually assaulted her for over two months. The woman lodged a complaint against the man and five other people on August 7 at the Didauli police station in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the complaint filed by the woman, the accused, a 25-year-old man, allegedly abducted her, forced her into marriage and sexually assaulted her multiple times. A case has been registered against six people, including the main accused, his parents and brothers, for allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting the woman, Didauli Station House Officer Mohit Chaudhary said. The woman came to the police station on Saturday.
The girl stated that she and the main accused went to the same college and were in a relationship for a brief period of time. However, their relationship came to an end earlier this year when the family of the man demanded dowry and their engagement was called off. Reportedly, the Sambhal-based family of the accused demanded Rs 5,00,000 as well as a car.
UP Woman Forced Into Marriage
The complainant further alleged that she was abducted when she was on her way to a bank by the accused as well as his family.
According to a report by The Times Now News, the woman was taken to a temple in Sambhal and forced into marriage.
The woman said in the report that the man's family told her family that everything was okay over the phone, hence, her family did not file any missing complaints. Later, the man and his family started to assault her.
She further stated that the man threw her near her village on August 5 in a semi-conscious state. Following this, the woman lodged a complaint on Saturday.
Chaudhary added that the arrest of the six-person, in this case, will be recorded soon.
