According to a report by Times Now, the girl visited the shop to purchase some biscuits on Monday morning. The shopkeeper tricked her into accompanying him to his house and then allegedly raped her. The girl was then reportedly strangulated by the couple and her body was put in a bag before being dragged to the house's terrace.

A neighbour spotted the couple while it was trying to hide the body and contacted the girl's family.
