In what came as another proud moment for Indians, an Indian-born woman has been appointed as the Partnerships Manager at the White House of Digital Strategy by US-President elect Joe Biden. On Monday, Biden announced the members of his digital team and Kashmir-born Aisha Shah bagged a senior position in the team.

According to an announcement by Biden's transition team, the White House Office of Digital Strategy would be headed by Rob Flaherty, Director of Digital Strategy.

Shah, raised in Louisiana, is an experienced candidate who previously worked as a digital partnerships manager during the Biden-Harris Campaign. Currently, she is serving as an advancement specialist for the Smithsonian Institution. Moreover, she has previously worked as an assistant manager on the Corporate Fund of the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. During her stint at the Kennedy Center, she supported the first-ever expansion of a presidential memorial.

Shah has also worked at Buoy, a firm that masters in social impact communications, as a strategic communications specialist. Adding to her career accomplishments is her ability to enable nonprofits to use pop culture as a boon for social change.
