There's No Evidence Against Me: Kannada Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani After Arrest In Drug Probe

Kannada actresses Sanjjanaa Galrani who was recently arrested by Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru in a drug probe, was caught on camera refusing to give a blood sample for dope test. The video of the incident has since gone viral.

In the video Galrani can be seen arguing with the police, and saying, “I am losing confidence in police. I don’t know why I have been arrested. There is no evidence against me. I’ve been made a scapegoat and brought here. How am I responsible if someone who I had called makes a call to someone?” However, she agreed to comply when the police displayed the court order.

Sanjjanaa Galrani : Third actress to be arrested in drug probe

Glarani is the third actress who has been arrested in a drug probe in last few days. While Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on Tuesday in the drug abuse angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case being probed by NCB, Galrani along with Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi, were held after  NCB busted an international racket last month.

According to the police, Galrani was running an event management company with a realtor friend of hers called Rahul Shetty, who was also arrested by the CBB in the drug bust.

Sanjjanaa Galrani was booked for rash driving

As per police, in a January video shot by Galrani herself, she is seen driving a high-end convertible. The traffic police had booked and fined her for rash driving and using phone while driving. The video shows a man sitting next to her, who was identified as Niyas Mohammed, a co-accused in the case.

The tests will confirm whether the accused had consumed drugs recently or not, as drugs can be detected in hair strands for up to six months, an investigating officer said.

Who is Sanjjanaa Galrani

Galrani is a former model who has worked Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films. The actress who made her debut with Tamil film Oru Kadhal Seiveer (2006), is best known for her role in the Kannada film Ganda Hendathi (2006), which is a remake of the Hindi film Murder. She made her Telugu film debut alongside popular Southern actor Prabhas, with the 2008 film Bujjigadu.

Galrani later appeared as a contestant in the debut season of Bigg Boss Kannada and was also a participant on Hindi reality show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.
