German Footballer Jerome Boateng Found Guilty For Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend; Fined 1.8 Million Euros

Jerome Boateng ex girlfriend: 33-year-old Jerome Boateng, former Germany and Bayern Munich football player, has been convicted for domestic violence against his former partner.   1. Senler, his former girlfriend, had alleged that the footballer hit and injured her in July 2018 when they were vacationing in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
  2. According to her,the footballer beat her, boxed her, bit her head, threw her on the ground and insulted her. She also said that their relationship had always been turbulent.
  3. The prosecutors’ office said that he threw a glass lantern and cooling bag at her.
  4. Boateng told the court that his former partner had become aggressive during an altercation following a game of cards. He said she hit him injuring his lip. Due to this, she fell when he tried to push her away. He disputed throwing a lantern at her. He said that it had fallen when he threw a cushion at a table.
  5. Boateng claimed he had never hit his ex-girlfriend, as per reports.
  6. Senler later told the court that Boateng punched her in the kidney with so much force that it became difficult for her to breathe. She said he bit her head and pressed his thumb into her eye. She said that he used to hit her on a lot of occasions but that was the most violent.
  7. Boateng suggested Senler was bringing this case against him in order to increase her chances of success in a dispute over their children’s custody. Senler, however, rejected the suggestion.
