Jennifer Lopez Death Hoax: A recent Facebook post stating that actor-singer Jennifer Lopez was dead went viral and received about a million likes. The information turned out to be untrue as Lopez was spotted at a screening later.

Rumours about a very famous celebrity has "died unexpectedly" are not new to the internet. And  Jennifer Lopez is the latest victim of this hoax. A similar rumour was also spread when she was involved in a car accident.

  2. On Sunday, a Facebook post rumouring about the singer’s death made rounds of social media.
  3. The post was captioned At about 11 a.m. ET on Sunday (October 03, 2021), our beloved actress Jennifer Lopez passed away. Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24, 1969, in New York. She will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.
  4. Multiple users and fans began expressing their condolences online as the post began gaining attention.
  5. The next day she was spotted at an event where she photographed holding hands with Ben Affleck, an American actor.
  6. On Monday, the official representatives of the star confirmed that the artist was not dead, rendering the Facebook post irrelevant.
  7. The representatives reportedly said in the official statement, “She joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimised by this hoax. She's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” they said.
  8. Fans of the Second Act actor expressed their anger revealing that the news of “distressing” and “hurtful.”
  9. The Ain’t Your Mama singer has been the subject of a death hoax in the past. In 2014, Lopez along with actor Leah Remini was involved in a car collision which led to multiple rumours citing the death of the actor surfaced which all turned out to be untrue.
