IT Raids M K Stalin's Daughter's Place: With just four days to go for Tamil Nadu assembly elections, the Income Tax department of Tamil Nadu conducted searches at DMK chief MK Stalin's daughter Senthamarai Stalin's house in Neelangarai, Chennai.

The searches which began this morning were conducted on eight locations in Chennai. Four of these eight places are related to MK Stalin's daughter Senthamarai Stalin and his son-in-law Sabareesan.

The IT officials began the searches at Senthamarai Stalin's houses in Neelangarai and Teynampet around 8 am on Friday. The places are owned by Sabareesan and his associates Bala, and Karthik, who is the son of M.K. Mohan, a DMK candidate from Annanagar.

Among the houses searched this morning, the one in Neelangarai which is just outside Chennai, is where MK Stalin's daughter lives with her husband Sabareesan and the others were a couple of office buildings.

The Income Tax department said that the tax raid was conducted based on complaints and inputs of cash movement related to the election campaign.

This is not the first time that a tax raid against DMK leaders has happened ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. DMK party leader EV Velu's home, guest house and colleges were raided for two days by the IT office the week before. According to officials, a large amount of cash was seized from him.

Mr Stalin was in Thiruvannamalai at the time of raids, campaigning for the assembly elections. His son Udhayanidhi Stalin questioned the exponential rise in the wealth of Home Minister Amit Shah's son Jay Shah, in a rally near Coimbatore the day before the searches.

On the IT raid this morning, Mr Stalin said, "I am MK Stalin. I have seen MISA itself". Several DMK leaders have come to Neelangarai to show their support to the politician. Who is MK Stalin's daughter Senthamarai Stalin?

Senthamarai Stalin runs a CBSE school at Dr Seethapathy Nagar in Velachery called Sunshine Monetessori Nursing and Primary School. According to a report by The Indian Express, it was the most expensive nursery school in Velachery with a fee of Rs 24000 a year in 2011.

The Tamil Nadu assembly elections begin on 6 April and its results will be declared on May 2.
