If Navya Naveli does join the family business, she would be the fourth generation of the family, and the first woman taking the lead.

“It is a great sense of pride for me to carry forward this incredible legacy my grandfather left behind,” she said. With more women taking up businesses and breaking the records, supporting each other, and living their independence, Nanda says she is grateful for living in a time when women are actually taking the charge. “The ball is definitely in our court, and I cannot wait to see all the amazing things we are going to achieve,” she said.

Recently, Nanda took to her Instagram account to share a few pictures related to her upcoming Project Naveli, an initiation to bridge the gender gap in India, and expressed that it will aspire women to “reach their full potential, be recognised for who they are & celebrating their achievements (sic).”  Additionally, she revealed that the project will focus on four main areas to “fight gender inequality”. They are Education, Economic Independence, Domestic violence, and Mental & Physical Health. She also expressed that with Project Naveli, she is looking forward to eradicating “patriarchal norms” and build a more equal world. Read about it more here.
