Puja Neware is a 25-year-old woman from Panchgaon village of Nagpur who has fulfilled her late husband's wish of clearing class XII exams. He passed away due to COVID-19 last year. But before that, he got her admitted to the zilla parishad run junior college in the village.

He knew that his wife couldn't study beyond class X due to family responsibilities. Therefore, it was his ardent desire to see her finish schooling. He had even assisted her in all the formalities required to get admission. She has made him proud by securing 75.83% in HSC and aspires to be in the police forces, as per a report.

It is heartwarming to see women breaking age barriers and pushing themselves to achieve despite facing personal setbacks. Another inspiring story is of 16-year-old Vanisha Pathak who had lost both her parents to COVID-19 during the second wave last year. Despite the humungous loss, she managed to ace her exams and has scored 99.8%. Not only that,  she also emerged as the Bhopal class X topper.

She scored a perfect 100 in English, Sanskrit, Science and 97 in Maths. In an interview, she said that she will have to overcome her grief and move on for her younger brother. She also aspires to be in IIT or crack UPSC and serve the nation as that’s what her father wanted her to do.

Another story worth reading is that of 42-year-old Rahmathulla cleared his Class X exams recently after 28 years.  He passed with 333 marks. What makes his achievement special is the fact that he passed class X exams with his son Mohammed Faraan who scored 98 percent. He couldn't complete class X as a teenager because they were struggling financially at that time and didn't have sufficient money to pay his fees. He chose to work and support his family at that time.
