Interestingly, his son is the reason behind his success today. He used to teach him after he returned from work. The son, on the other hand, feels that his father lacked the guidance he needed at that time. Farhan made him enroll for the examination and tutored him and then found some time to study for himself as well.

Rahmathulla is a Mysuru resident who works in a cloth merchant’s shop. He couldn't complete class X because they were struggling financially at that time and didn't have money to pay his fees. He decided to work to support his family.

Post this, he tried to clear the exams on several occasions but came a cropper. He gave the exams another shot in 2004 but scored only 82 marks. In 2021, he appeared again but failed again. He had given up completely but was encouraged by his son to keep trying. He gave the exam this year and secured 333 marks to pass the examination. "This was really one of the biggest moments of my life", said Rahmathulla.

Son's dreams

His son wants to become a software engineer or scientist and has got enrolled to CPC Polytechnic College in Mysuru where he will pursue Diploma in Computer Sciences.
