Honey Singh Wants Online Hearing Of Domestic Violence Case Filed Against Him By Wife

Honey Singh Domestic Violence Case Hearing: Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has moved a petition in court on Friday asking for the hearing of domestic violence case filed against him by his wife to be held in-camera.

As per reports, Honey Singh and his wife Shalini Talwar were called by the Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh in her chamber. Later the counsels of both Talwar and Singh were called. The court had also rapped Honey Singh in the last hearing as he had failed to appear before the court. In a final warning to Singh, the judge had said, " No one is above the law."

Shalini Talwar, Honey Singh's wife, has filed a domestic violence case against him and has sought a compensation amount of Rs 20 crore. Her demand comes under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Talwar and Singh had married each other on January 23, 2011.

In the plea submitted by Talwar in the case, she had claimed that Honey Singh physically assaulted over their ten years of marriage. She alleged that Honey Singh got involved in multiple extra marital affairs during the course of their marriage.

In her plea, Talwar claimed that Honey Singh and his family members caused her serious mental, emotional and physical harm. She said that she started to think of herself as a 'farm animal'. Talwar in her allegations against her husband claimed that Singh used to beat her 'mercilessly' on many occasions and also allegedly circulated her pictures.

She claimed that during the shoot of his popular song Brown Rang De, the rapped was sexually involved with his female colleague. When Talwar confronted him for the same, he allegedly threw a liquor bottle at her. The Tis Hazari court in Delhi had issued a restraining order against Honey Singh after Talwar filed the case.
