Delhi High Court Sends Notice To Honey Singh Again After Wife Files Fresh Plea

As per reports, Shalini Talwar has asked for a compensation of Rs 20 crore from Honey Singh under the Domestic Violence Act.

Honey Singh Case: Shalini Talwar, wife of Bollywood singer Hirdesh Singh aka Yo Yo Honey Singh filed a fresh application in Delhi High Court asking for restraining Singh from creating third party rights on assets owned by him and his companies in UAE. The Delhi High Court has issued a new notice to Singh in the matter, reports say.

The singer is facing domestic violence charges filed by his wife. Earlier in September, he had appeared before Delhi Tis Hazari Court which scheduled the next hearing for September 28. Shalini Talwar's complaint comes under ' the protection of women from Domestic Violence Act', as per reports.

Singh had earlier sought permission from court regarding a in-camera hearing the case. The Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh had called both Talwar and Singh to her chamber for counselling. The court had also reprimanded Honey Singh for not appearing in one the hearings. The judge had said, "“No one is above the law."

As per reports, Shalini Talwar has asked for a compensation of Rs 20 crore from Honey Singh under the Domestic Violence Act. She has also accused Singh of having extra marital affairs. The couple had married each other in January 23, 2011.

Shalini Talwar in her petition said that Honey Singh allegedly thrashed her mercilessly on multiple occasions over the past 10 years of their marriage.

She alleged that Singh broke her 'mentally and emotionally' to an extent that she started thinking of herself as a 'farm animal'. She also alleged that Singh's parents abused her supported him in abusing her.

Honey Singh gave his statemen on the allegations made by his wife and said that he is "deeply pained and distressed". He claimed that the allegations against him, his parents and his sister are "false and malicious".
