Who Is Gongadi Trisha? Rise Of A Splendid Cricketer
Born on December 15, 2005, in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, Gongadi Trisha was introduced to cricket by her father, GV Rami Reddy, who worked as a fitness trainer in a private company. Recognizing her talent, he encouraged her to play cricket regularly. To ensure she received proper training, he moved from Bhadrachalam to Secunderabad and enrolled her in St John’s Cricket Academy when she was just seven years old.
Acknowledging her father’s role in her journey, Trisha once said:
"I came to know cricket through my dad at a time when I could barely tell what cricket was. Maybe as I grow older, I’ll fully appreciate my dad’s contribution in my life and cricket, all the sacrifices he’s made for me, the direction he’s given my life."
Professional Cricketing Career
Trisha made her Hyderabad debut in the 2017–18 Senior Women’s T20 League. She later represented India B in the 2021–22 U19 Women’s Cricket Challengers and also played in the 2021–22 Senior Women’s Challenger Trophy in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
