The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) released the state board results for Class 12 today (May 14). Girls outperformed boys in Arts and Commerce streams. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the results.

Shivani Pawar from Chinndwada district of Madhya Pradesh topped the Class XII (Arts) this year. She secured 476 out of 500 marks. Aayushi Dhengula topped the commerce stream. The girl from Shivpuri district secured 479 out of 500 marks.

Out of a total of six courses, girls have topped in three

In streams like Fine Arts and Home Science too, girls have performed exceptionally well. Tamanna Khushwah of Bhind district topped the stream this year. She secured a score of 475 out of total 500 marks.

Similarly, in the MP Board 10th results, Kumari Anamika Sadh from Vidisha district of MP, along with Harshvardhan Parmar of Shajapur district hold the first position of toppers with 495 marks.

The MP Chief Minister has felicitated the toppers. Via Twitter, He announced that the state government will sponsor the higher education of students securing more than 70% in the Class 12 exams. However, this criterion will not apply to students belonging to economically weaker sections.

Consistent results

Even in the Chhattisgarh Class 12 board results this year, girls pass percentage was 79.40 % as against the 74.45 % of boys.

In Manipur, Selina Keisham, securing 482 marks, topped the board this year. While in Karnataka, despite financial constraints, Swathi S topped the exams this year. Girl students have been consistently performing well and giving stellar performances in the exams. They are setting an example of how hard work and focus can help one achieve dizzying heights.
