They will be not alone in the Hogwarts castle. It will be attended by their family members and friends across the world. Dinesh SP, the groom to be, said that he came up with this metaverse wedding reception idea and his finance agreed to this unusual planning of the reception. The project associate with IIT Madras informed this to the Time of India.

"I have been into crypto and blockchain technology, and have been mining enthereum, a form of cryptocurrency for the last one year. Since blockchain is the basic technology of Metaverse when my wedding was fixed, I thought of having a reception in Metaverse," he said.

They both are Potterheads, so the Harry Potter theme was the ideal go-to. Their digital avatars will be dressed in traditional clothes and the login details will be passed on to the guests. There, they can choose their own avatars. It will be an hour-long event where participants would be able to interact with each other.

Metaverse is a scaled and interoperable network of real-time that creates 3D virtual worlds. It can effectively be used by unlimited users.

Dinesh SP shared the invite video on his Twitter feed, with the caption, "I feel so proud and blessed that I have seen and taken advantage of many great opportunities in this world before millions of people have seen them, Beginning of something big! India's first #metaverse marriage in Polygon blockchain collaborated with TardiVerse Metaverse setup."
