The picture shows Corrin, who will play Princess Diana in the show’s upcoming season, in a demure state and staring off into the distance while dressed in a gown that looks exactly like the one the late royal wore at her wedding to Prince Charles in July 1981. The streaming giant also followed this tweet with others that detailed the conception of the replica. One tweet read, “Amy wanted to pull in many of the style choices and create the same spirit of David & Elizabeth Emanuel’s original design, but make something new.”

An Exact Replica Of Princess Diana’s Wedding Dress
As per ANI, David and Elizabeth Emmanuel designed the original wedding gown made of ivory silk taffeta and antique lace. Back in 1981, the Princess’ wedding dress created waves for its 25-foot train. A 153-yards long tulle veil also accompanied Princess Diana’s gown.
Last month, Emma Corrin talked to British Vogue about the highly anticipated onscreen recreation of the royal wedding gown. She said, “The Emmanuels, who designed the original, gave us the patterns, and then it was made for me.” She also revealed, “We were filming the scene when you first see her in the wedding dress – I think it was Lancaster House in London – and I had a team of about 10 people helping me put it on because it’s massive. I walked out and everyone went completely silent. More than anything else I wear in the series, it’s so… It’s her.”
Season Four Of The Crown
Netflix will release The Crown’s fourth season on November 15. Apart from Corrin, the season will include various returning cast members. These include Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles. The season will focus on the royal family’s life during the 1970s and 1980s.
