Alwar Rape Case, Rajasthan: The alleged rape of a mentally disabled girl in Alwar near Tijara on January 12, 2022, by unidentified people, has sparked backlash on the police personnel and state government which says that the minor girl was not raped and there was no report of internal injury to the survivor.

The family wants a CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) enquiry so that the "truth in the matter can come out". Initial reports claimed that she was thrown off the bridge by the perpetrators of the crime. 

Alwar Rape Case: Family Says "We Have No Faith Left In Government"

The girl having speech disorder was returning on auto as confirmed by her sister. The police in a statement said that the girl had travelled around 25km from her village and reached Alwar in an auto-rickshaw. She walked towards the Tijara Fatak bridge before the incident occurred. 

The auto driver, who ferried the girl that day, in an interview to India Today, said, "I got scared and I told the police initially that I did not ferry the girl in my auto. But when I was summoned the second time, I told them I had dropped her in Monach".

On January 12, 2022, she was found in a bloodied condition under the Tijara flyover. Doctors have reported that sharp objects were inserted into the private parts of the girl causing grave injury to her internal organs. She is under treatment at JK Lone Hospital in Jaipur, where she was met by her sister, who said that the 16-year-old just kept crying. In the hospital, the survivor signalled them that she sat in an auto, however, she could not speak after that.

Tejaswani Gautam, Superintendent of Police in Alwar informed the ANI, that on basis of technical evidence received by the police, the girl is seen walking on Tijara flyover healthy." She also informed that the auto-rickshaw was checked by forensic experts and no suspicions were found there. Gautam added that the report of an expert team from the Medical Board of Doctors suggests there is no vaginal or internal injury to the girl. 

Earlier Gautam said in a statement that - "the survivor was allegedly raped and then left on the over bridge near a railway crossing."

In a recent interview to India Today, the family of the rape survivor said, "they have no faith left in the government. It has changed its version and want a CBI enquiry in the matter".

Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan has informed the people that the instructions have been given to the police "to conduct independent and impartial research and reach the bottom of the matter at the earliest." Besides a separate team has been sent for research in the case to help the SP, Alwar. He requested the political parties not to make any unrestrained statements in this matter.
