Actor Divyanka Tripathi recently hit back at a troll on Twitter in style. The troll tried to be sarcastic by commenting on Tripathi's lifestyle as an actress. He even went further and advised her to keep away from drugs and not to work with Karan Johar. Tripathi retaliated by telling him to mind his own business and not poke his nose in other's affairs, all the while being sarcastic herself.

Tripathi had tweeted about the prolonged power cut in Mumbai on Monday that brought the city to a standstill. She wrote, "Kaam se nikle, ab bekar aur bezar se fir rahe hain. Bhai koi batayega aaj Mumbai mein bijli kyun nahi hai?" (Had left for work, now am sitting idle and wasted. Can anyone tell why is there no power supply in Mumbai today?)

Replying to this tweet, a Twitter user surfaced from nowhere and commented, "Ek din bina makeup, ke bina AC ke bhi rehna seekho madam Dahiya!" (You should try living without makeup and AC at least for a day madam Dahiya!)

Tripathi, who is an active social media user, didn't ignore the troll, but decided to school him. She replied to this tweet and countered the troll by using the 'honorific' 'uncle' as he had used 'madam' in his tweet. She advised "Don't try to act like an hero for no reason uncle. The work was related to government which didn't require any makeup. But your exclusive comments come out as if Bigg Boss cameras are capturing your every move. Write something nice, give your blessings, otherwise mind your own business."

The troll didn't stop here, as he again commented by saying, "My blessings are with you Divyanka! Do good movies and don't do drugs. Stay away from Karan Johar."

However, Tripathi got back at him and retweeted with the comment, praising him for finally mending his ways. "I liked what you said. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. These days people assume wrong things about others. No matter how strong an artist is, it hurts. From the day my father left for Bhopal, leaving me here to realise my dreams, my endeavour has been to make him proud. This lotus will continue to blossom in dirt anyhow."
