The Public Prosecutor Manish Rawat submitted in court, "We need his custodial interrogation to recover the alleged video clips having objectionable content as claimed by the victim."

The Senior Advocate Vikas Pahwa and Advocate Nitesh Rana representing Paswan argued that this is a case of extortion. They claimed that there is no rape survivor in the case as the case is false. The lawyers claimed in court that Prince Raj is innocent and the case against him is frivolous.

As per Paswan's lawyers, the complainant and her friend have been allegedly extorting money from him since 2020 and they had a case Paswan had filed a case them in February this year.  The lawyers argued," She threatened to malign his reputation if he did not pay the extortion amount. He gave her Rs 2 Lakh but the extortion still continued. After the filing of FIR by my client, both the complainant and her friend had to take an anticipatory bail from the court."

The Special Judge MK Nagpal adjourned the hearing for Friday after hearing arguments from both sides. The survivor was reportedly present in the court and she made allegations against the LJP leader.

As per reports, Prince Raj Paswan who is accused of sexual assault moved an anticipatory bail plea in court on Thursday seeking protection from arrest. He was booked for allegedly raping a member of his party in New Delhi on September 9. Nitesh Rana who is representing Paswan had earlier claimed during an interview that the survivor's complaint of May 31 at the Parliament Street Police Station was found invalid by the police as they did find any offence committed by Paswan.

He added, "The complainant had refused to cooperate with the police during the investigation. In the preliminary investigation report, the police found that no offence was committed by my client and this is a pure case of extortion."

The complainant in the FIR alleged that she was working for LJP when she was raped and molested by Paswan when she was in an unconscious state. The FIR was filed almost after three months of her submitting the complaint in Delhi, as per reports.
