Disha Ravi statement out today blames media for its trial by social timelines. Climate activist Disha Ravi released a four-page statement about the events that led to arrest in the toolkit case. She said that the “seekers of TRPs” had breached her autonomy, and dubbed her actions as ‘guilty’.

“I sat there, unaware of the many abstractions made of me in order to satiate their idea of me,” she said, slamming the unprecedented coverage of her arrest.
In the statement, she indirectly referred to the farmersÂ by questioning why people were paying for the ‘greed’ of a few hundred.
“Why were millions paying the ultimate price for the greed of a few hundred? Their interest in the lives of those millions is dependent on whether or not they profit…We are inching closer to our own expiry,” she said.
Above all, Disha RaviÂ made sure to express her gratitude towards all those people who supported her when she was arrest. She even called herself ‘lucky’ for getting the legal assistance she needed.
Who is Disha Ravi?
She was arrested on February 13 from Bengaluru for sharing a editing a document, now famously called the Greta Thunberg toolkit, that was drafted in support of the protesting farmers. The document was then shared by her fellow climate activist Greta Thunberg. Disha Ravi’s arrest had led to a huge outcry at an international level.
