Bombay HC Quashes FIR Against Meetu Singh. The Bombay High Court has quashed the FIR filed against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters based on the complaint filed by Rhea Chakraborty.

Rajput’s sisters – Priyanka and Meetu Singh – were booked by the Bandra police in September 2020. The Bombay HC on Monday quashed the complaint registered against Meetu Singh but a probe will continue against Priyanka Singh.

According to the complaint lodged by Chakraborty, a “bogus and unlawful” medical prescription “was sent by the petitioners with the help of a Delhi-based doctor wherein medicines for anxiety were prescribed to Rajput”.

“There is prima facie case found against Priyanka Singh and there should not be any impediment against investigation against her,” the court said in its verdict, Bar and Bench reported. While reserving the judgment on January 7, the bench observed that from his (Sushant Singh Rajput’s) face, one can make out that he was innocent and sober and very good human being. Even in MS Dhoni, everybody liked him especially in that film.”

Both sisters had appealed to the court for cancellation of the police cases. And, Rajput’s family, including his sisters, have accused Chakraborty, of mentally harassing him. In her complaint, she mentioned a couple of WhatsApp texts between the actor and his sister on June 8, indicating that it was Priyanka who had advised her brother to take three medicines were prescribed for depression and anxiety. It was earlier reported that his family was aware of his mental health problems.

Just ahead of the verdict, Shweta Singh Kirti took to Instagram to share a post. “Kahan chala gaya baby?? Just come back… it has been 8 months…haven’t seen you or heard from you…. Please, come back,” she wrote alongside a smiling picture of the late actor.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently investigating the actor’s death case. Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide on 14 June at his Bandra residence.
