Bengaluru Man Kills Wife In Temper After She Elopes With Relative

In another shocking incident from Karnataka, a man in Bengaluru killed his wife after he discovered she had run away with a known relative. 

The 29-year-old Bengaluru man recently killed his wife in a rage after she eloped with a relative leaving her daughter behind, and refused to return home.

The man named Harish resides in Kolur village near Doddaballapur in Bengaluru. He released that his wife, Bharathi, had eloped with a relative in front of their five-year-old daughter. After she refused to give in and return home to their family life, her husband in a fit of rage ended her life. 

Bengaluru Man Kills Wife

Harish allegedly strangled Bharathi and struck her on the head with a hard object at her rental property on Wednesday evening. Surprisingly, the couple's five-year-old daughter witnessed the horrifying crime. 

The murder was discovered at around 8 PM by a family friend. Gangadhar, the man with whom Bharathi eloped and was having an extramarital relationship with, decided to check on her when she did not respond to his calls. The couple had rented the property just twelve days prior, and Bharathi had introduced Gangadhar as her husband to the landlord.

The family friend, Suresh, found Bharathi dead and informed the landlord and police. At first, Gangadhar was taken as a suspect into custody by police, after villagers caught him. On his statement, the police apprehended Harish, who confessed to the murder. He revealed that his wife with whom he has been married for ten years was engaged in a relationship with Gangadhar, who also happens to be her distant relative. He had warned them to end their relationship, however, his wife eloped with him when he was at his elder brother’s home to visit him. 

Harish attempted to encourage Bharathi to come home after learning her whereabouts, offering to take care of her. Despite his efforts, Bharathi declined and stated her desire to continue living with Gangadhar. Harish became enraged as a result of her resistance and ultimately committed the horrific act.
