Australian Man Travels To Madhya Pradesh To Marry Mechanic's Daughter

An international love story of an Australian man and an Indian woman is winning hearts on the internet.

The Australian man, Ash Haunschild travelled to India to get married to Tabassum Hussain, the daughter of a cycle repairman. Hussain is from a small town called Manawar, in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh.

Her father, Sadiq Hussain runs a bicycle repair shop at a bus stop.

The two met when Hussain was studying in Australia.

In 2016, Hussain received a scholarship for 45 lakh rupees from the Madhya Pradesh government to pursue higher studies and the next year, she moved to Brisbane, Australia. There, she met her future husband Ash Haunschild.

Haunschild was her senior in college and the two began dating and eventually got married in court on August 2. In December, Haunschild travelled around 10,000 kilometres to India for a formal marriage ceremony and to meet Hussain's family. He travelled to India with his mother, Jennifer Parry.

Hussain and Haunshild tied the knot in accordance with Hindu tradition.

Hussain is currently employed in Brisbane and is a senior manager at an organisation.

Reportedly, the locals were excited to greet the foreign groom.
