All about Asser Malik-Malala Yousafzai Wedding: Activist Malala Yousafzai announced her wedding to Asser Malik on social media last night, by posting pictures of her nikkah. The ceremony took place in the city of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

The 24-year-old, a campaigner for girls' education, became an international icon after she stood up against the Taliban in Pakistan, who didn't approve of girls attending school. In 2012, she was shot in the head by the Tehreek-a-Taliban in her hometown in Swat Valley, after which she moved to the United Kingdom. Two years later, she became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner. She was 17-year-old then. Malala graduated from Oxford University in June 2020, with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economy.
Yesterday, Malala tweeted her wedding announcement, writing, "Today marks a precious day in my life, Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead."

- In her post, Malala Yousafzai did not reveal who Asser is, she just posted pictures and announcements on social media.
- According to a Pakistani news media organisation, Geo.Tv, Asser Malik is the General Manager High Performance at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
- According to Asser Malik's LinkedIn profile, he joined the organisation in May 2020.
- Asser used to previously work with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise as the operational manager for Multan Sultans. Not just that, he also ran a player management agency.
