According to the SSP Santosh Kumar Singh, in her suicide note, the deceased blamed herself for taking the extreme step and "held herself responsible for her death."

"A suicide note and a pen was recovered from the bed. Her mobile phone is locked and we are trying to ascertain the last few calls she made," SSP Bulandshahr said, TOI reported.

30-year-old Pawar, who originally hailed from the Shamli district, joined the force and was subsequently inducted as a sub-inspector in 2015. On Friday, her landlords became suspicious when Pawar did not respond to multiple phone calls they made. They then went to check on her at her rented apartment, but the door was bolted from inside. When she didn't respond to knocks on the door, the landlady alerted the local police. They tried to look through the glass ventilator on the door and found Pawar hanging from the ceiling fan. Senior police and administrative officials rushed to the spot and a team from local police station broke inside the house.
