Actor Amrita Rao And Husband RJ Anmol Blessed With A Baby Boy

Actor Amrita Rao and her husband RJ Anmol were blessed with a baby boy on Sunday. The actor's spokesperson said in a statement, "Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol welcomed a baby boy this morning," Sharing an update on Rao's health, the spokesperson said, "Both the mother and baby are healthy and doing well. The family is ecstatic and both Amrita and RJ Anmol thank everyone for their wishes and blessings."

Rao and Anmol, who tied the knot in 2016, had announced their pregnancy with a post last month. In October, Rao had posted a couple of pictures in which she can be seen flaunting her baby bump. Amrita Rao had written in an Instagram post, "For you it's the 10th month... But for us, it's the 9th. Surprise surprise... Anmol and I are in our 9th month already. Too excited to share this good news with you my fans and friends (sorry had to keep it tucked in my belly all this long) but it's true."

She had further revealed that it was an "exciting journey" for her, Anmol and their families. “There are no preconceived ideas and I would prefer to cross the bridge when it comes. However, I think I am still a kid, and so is Amrita, so it’s going to be a new friend addition,” RJ Anmol had said in an interview with Indian Express.

Rao had also shared glimpses of her Navratri celebrations with the post, writing "I feel blessed to witness my ninth month of pregnancy in the auspicious month of Navratri! These nine days are dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine avatars. I am entering a New phase of embodying the avatar of a mother myself!"

Speaking to Times Of India, a source close to Rao revealed how the actor is ready to embrace motherhood. “She is loving this phase of her life. While people may not be aware of her pregnancy, those close to the couple are in the know. Anmol and she are both private people and they like to keep things low-key,” the source claimed.

Best known for her role in hit films like Main Hoon Na, Ishq Vishk, Vivah, Rao was last seen in the 2019 film Thackeray.
