Delhi girl raped and cremated say reports: A priest in Delhi was arrested on August 2 after he allegedly raped and cremated a nine-year-old girl on August 1, without the consent of her parents. The Old Nangal crematorium priest told the deceased's mother that if the police is called, during post mortem doctors will sell the girl's organs illegally.

The Delhi police stated on Monday that they have registered a case in the death of a minor girl in suspicious circumstances who was cremated without her parents' consent on Sunday after she was found dead the previous night.

According to a report, an FIR has been registered on basis of her mother's statement following which the priest was taken into custody.
The police added that the Forensic Science Laboratory officials and crime team collected samples for the investigation.
DCP (South-West) Ingit Pratap Singh said that the police received a call at around 10:20 pm at the Delhi Cantonment police station concerning possible rape and death of a minor girl and being cremated forcefully.
Singh added that the minor girl who was the daughter of Mohan Lal and Sunita Devi used to reside with her parents at village old Nangal on rent.
Minor Girl Dead After Going To Fetch Water
The minor had reportedly stepped out to fetch cold water at around 5.30 pm from the water cooler at the crematorium after informing her mother about the same. "The priest and his accomplices said the child got electrocuted while drinking water from cooler. They also asked the parents not to inform the police saying organs are stolen during postmortem," says a report by NDTV.
The deceased child's mother said there were burn marks between the left wrist and elbow of the girl adding that her lips were blue.

Following the cremation, the mother raised the alarm that the girl was cremated without their consent following which a crowd of 200 people gathered and hence the police was called.
The DCP stated that further investigation is underway.
