11 girls missing

Called the “house of horrors!” the CBI is currently investigating a shelter home run by Brajesh Thakur in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. From which 11 girls are missing and are feared to be dead. The inmates of the shelter home have spoken to the CBI and have given them the names of 11 girls. These rape survivors also told the CBI that those girls might have been killed by the accused Brajesh Thakur.

The CBI is verifying the allegations and divulged that it has excavated a bundle of bones from a location where a girl was apparently buried by the accused, adding it has not yet invoked murder charges as the investigation is in progress.

At the shelter home, the CBI found record of 35 girls having similar or identical names and details. What is sad is that these depressing accounts of helpless young girls, invariably from underprivileged backgrounds are not missed even in death.

“The victims during their examination in the presence of experts of Nimhans had revealed names of 11 girls who were allegedly murdered by Brajesh Thakur and his accomplices.” said the affidavit.

The identification of the victims is still on, so as to understand what exactly happened and why it happened.

Previously an application by social activist Nivedita Jha had said that the CBI was protecting Thakur and everyone who has been accused; despite the statements they received by the victims. Another petition filed by an advocate – Fauzia Shakil had commented that the investigation committed by the CBI was not only “incomplete but ex facie also appeared to be hogwash.”

Another petitioner had claimed that:

“It is evident from the statement of the victims that a large-scale prostitution racket was being run by Brajesh Thakur. From the perusal of the charge sheet, it is apparent that the CBI is trying to shield the real perpetrators and has intentionally avoided investigating the leads given by the victims.”

What people may believe may be different. There always will be different opinions to everything. However, the only thing that stays constant is the truth, the fact, which everyone knows and that no one can hide. That fact is that 11 girls have miraculously disappeared from the Bihar shelter home run by the accused person Brajesh Thakur. These girls might be listed as missing, however some fear that they may have been killed. Notably these girls are from poor backgrounds.

An account of this incident has been given to the Supreme Court by the CBI on Friday.
