Investigating officials found a young woman's dead body in a bathtub of a hotel in the Philippines. She was identified as a flight attendant at the Philippines airlines (PAL). The police authorities who are now probing into the matter are of the notion that she might have been gangraped by 11 men. Brutal signs of assault have been found all over her body. The incident has shaken many in Makati, the place where the horrific incident took place.

Here Are Some Facts That Have Thus far Surfaced: 

1. Christine Angelica Dacera was a 23-year-old woman who was reportedly subjected a brutal assault. Rommel Galida, one of her colleagues found her in the bathtub at 10 am on Friday.

2. She was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. An autopsy was conducted and it was initially found that she died due to a 'ruptured aortic aneurysm.' However, other factors that led to her death are also emerging. The toxicology report is yet to be released.

3. So far, the police have arrested three men who were reportedly her friends. The arrested men have been identified  as John Pascual Dela Serna III, 27, Rommel Daluro Galida, 29, and John Paul Reyes Halili, 25. A case has been filed against 11 suspects of which eight of them need to be traced. All of them were present in the same hotel in which Dacera had checked in.

4. The police claims that although not all the men might have committed the act, severe charges can be registered against them.

5. Makati Police Chief Col. Harold Depositar said that there were "contusions, abrasions, that lacerations" on her body. Sperms were also present inside her genitalia.

6. The last time Dacera reportedly spoke to her mother was on January 1 at midnight. This was 12 hours before her friend had informed her mother, Sharon, about Dacera's death.

7. Dacera's family claims that her friends were involved in forcing her to join the New Year celebrations. The family was aware of the party.

8. Sharon wrote out a plea to President Rodrigo Duterte which read “I don’t want that somebody will be a victim by this kind of brutality, barbaric."

9. The bereaved mother reportedly said that they treated her daughter like a pig and that no woman deserves such brutality.

10. “Our desire is for the truth to come out in the interest of justice,” her employer told the papers on Tuesday.
