Celebrities congratulate Dia Mirza: Dia Mirza, actor, UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador and United Nations Secretary-General Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals and Global Ambassador IFAW on Wednesday, July 14 revealed that she and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi were blessed with a baby boy, Avyaan.
Mirza added that he arrived on May 14 but had to be cared for in the NICU by 'tireless doctors and nurses' because of the preterm delivery. A sudden appendectomy during her pregnancy and a very severe bacterial infection could have led to a life threatening sepsis, she disclosed. But she received timely treatment and her son was born through C-section. Mirza thanked all her fans and well wishers for their concern and said that they would have revealed the news earlier had it been possible. No sooner did she make the announcement than she started receiving congratulatory messages from far and wide.

On Mirza's Instagram post, actor Anushka Sharma wrote "Congratulations to you guys ☺️ and love to the little one." Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote, "God bless you my darling and the little one …❤️❤️stay safe and well…" among many others.
On Micro blogging site Twitter, Actor Sonali Bendre Behl congratulated Mirza saying, "Congratulations @deespeak Wishing you and the little one lots of love & good health…. Big hug & love to your growing family."
Head of Campaigns, Save The Children Pragya Vats said, "All the love, light and more to Avyaan, You and Vaibhav."
