In the latest episode of tvN's On & Off that aired on 16 February, the Korean popstar revealed what she dealt with during her hiatus from the entertainment industry.

“I thought I was a very positive and optimistic person, but one day it was like the fuse had blown. I suddenly felt tired. I couldn’t sleep well and my exhaustion kept building up,” ChoA said on the show.

“At the start of an idol’s career, there are lots of things that the agency staff takes care of. I realized that even though I was an adult in age, I had no idea how to do anything,” she added.

Speaking of her fight she expressed, "When my mental health was in bad shape, I washed my body with cleansing foam and thought to myself, 'There is no me that people like.' I'm grateful that I'm feeling much better now."

Formerly, the K-pop idol was a member of the popular group AOA. ChoA debuted with the group in July 2012 and left in 2017. Now, she is making a comeback after three years. As per reports, she has signed a contract with a new agency established by a former FNC Entertainment director.
