I Didn't Need Fixing—Just Menopause Support

I used to think I needed a cure for menopause. But what I really needed was a community of women who had my back. I won’t say that every day is easy now. But I also feel stronger, more informed, and less alone.

menopause

I used to believe that menopause was something you suffered through alone. You grit your teeth through the hot flashes, the mood swings, the weight gain, and the restless nights. You pretend everything is fine, even when you feel like you’re falling apart inside. At 49, I thought I had everything under control. I had built a fulfilling career, raised two wonderful children, and managed a household with efficiency. But when menopause hit, it knocked me sideways. The fatigue was relentless, my patience ran thin, and my emotions were all over the place. Worst of all, I felt completely alone.

Every time I tried to bring it up—at work, at home, even with friends—people brushed it off. “It’s just a phase,” they said. “Every woman goes through it.” But that’s exactly what made it harder—if every woman goes through this, why weren’t we talking about it?

Finding My Tribe: Gytree’s Menopause Club

Then one evening, as I mindlessly scrolled through my phone, I stumbled upon Gytree’s Menopause Club, a gather held at The Quorum in Gurgaon.

A community of women navigating the same storm? A place where I could talk about my struggles without shame? I joined without a second thought. Here’s their whatsapp group

That decision changed everything. Suddenly, I wasn’t alone anymore.

In this group, I found women who understood what I was going through—women who had also cried in frustration at their changing bodies, women who had felt invisible in boardrooms and bedrooms, women who wanted to take charge of their health, got to know there is a menopause protein for women but didn’t know where to start.

We shared stories, remedies, and even dark humour about forgetting why we walked into a room. There were no judgments, no dismissive responses—just support, sisterhood, and collective strength that lifted me up.

More Than Just a Support Group—A Lifeline

What set Gytree’s Menopause Club apart was that it wasn’t just about venting—it was about solutions. Expert-Led Guidance – We had gynaecologists, nutritionists, and mental health experts talking to us, answering questions about everything from hormone therapy to sleep hacks.

Tailored Wellness Plans – I finally understood what my body needed in this phase—how to eat, move, and rest in ways that actually worked for midlife women.

Real Conversations – We talked about everything—sex, mental health, career challenges, body image. No topic was off-limits, and for once, I felt seen.

Sisterhood Over Suffering

I used to think I needed a cure for menopause. But what I really needed was a community of women who had my back. I won’t say that every day is easy now. There are still moments when I feel exhausted, or when I catch myself missing the younger version of me. But I also feel stronger, more informed, and less alone.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned from this journey, it’s this: You don’t have to go through menopause alone. You don’t have to “just deal with it.” You deserve support, knowledge, and a safe space to talk about it.

So to any woman reading this—join a sisterhood, find your people, and give yourself the support you deserve. And if you don’t know where to start, I’ll say this—Gytree’s Menopause Club was my game-changer. Maybe it can be yours, too.
