During the lockdown when people were not allowed to step out of their houses. This made street dogs starve and some of them confronted death. Since then I decided to adopt a dog and we named it Humpty. As mentioned earlier, we weren't allowed to go outside because of the increasing cases of COVID-19. That's why we decided to prepare a healthy meal for dogs at home.

We commenced preparing it with "ghar ke masale" and we prepared various sorts of meals as well that was liked by dogs. All the dogs who have been in feeble condition started gaining weight. With encouragement, Mom and I decided to work full-fledged on Licks and Crunch.

What is your future planning regarding Licks and Crunch?

We have been working as a household business. Since last year we have come across accomplishments and development which was quite ecstatic. It made us plan our future that revolves around licks and crunch. As of now, all the operations are being conducted via Instagram however when it comes to transactions we prefer an e-commerce system because of our convenience.

Very soon we will be focusing on extending our team and in order to increase the level of production, many other important components will be introduced. We hope our products will be in limelight soon.

Ritu joined the conversation and spoke about their journey of starting the business. She said, "Firstly, we had to convince our family. My mother joined me. Her mother who has been a mere spectator throughout the conversation says I'm really happy that she decided to start a business, especially for dogs.

Before that, I was not familiar with dogs but Surbhi brought her pet Humpty and it made me understand their grievances and accordingly, I decided to support my daughter in her business. Now, we are processing food for dogs, it feels like they are our family members and we are obliged to take care of them. Surbhi Hablani is a bright child and her future is also dazzling. Although, making Surbhi's father understand was a tough job but we didn't give up and he eventually agreed."

What would you like to say to those women who aspire to be an entrepreneur?

If you have an idea then immediately start working on it otherwise it would remain as an idea solely. I inaugurated it in Nov. 2020 but I kept convincing my family which made me lose my target audience. Put aside the hesitation else that hesitation will hinder you forever.
