Masoom Minawala On Challenges Faced By Small Brands

In an interview with SheThePeople, Masoom Minawala highlighted some of the major hurdles faced by small businesses in today's landscape. She said, “I think the largest challenge that small businesses face in India is that they are too many and the possibilities of visibility with low capital are very few. So you're seeing the larger companies have very large marketing spend, and they're being more flexible and more loose with how they manage and how they distribute these marketing expenses which actually makes it so much harder for the smaller companies.”

She added, "This is where I saw that somebody like me can play a very important role, especially in the middle. ...And I was like, how do I leverage this platform I have to help and support thousands of these small businesses who are possibly and probably going to shut shop because they can't deal with the pandemic and the effect that pandemic has on their businesses, which actually with the reason that my series 'support Indian designers' began."

By extending a helping hand to small businesses, Minawala is poised to provide invaluable exposure to these brands, enabling them to reach a wider audience and thrive in a competitive market landscape.

Other Influencers Who Joined The Movement

This isn't the first time Masoom Minawala has embarked on such an initiative. In fact, she has consistently shown her support for small businesses right from the beginning.
