  1.  Sona is a writer and journalist. She has worked as a freelance journalist for Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, Bustle.com, Teen Vogue, Parade.com, Vulture.com, and various other US media.
  2. Initially, Charaipotra used to work as a celebrity reporter at People and TeenPeople magazines.
  3. She did her Masters in screenwriting from NYU and her MFA in creative writing from the New School,
  4. Charaipotra co-authored Tiny Pretty Things with Dhonielle Clayton. The two met while they were studying for an MFA at the New School. Charaipotra has also co-authored another dance drama Shiny Broken Pieces. Moreover, she has authored the psychological thriller Rumor Game.
  5. Charaipotra and Clayton together started Cake Literary, a book packaging company for diverse teen books.
