The Q&A session began at 6 pm on October 19 where fans praised her performance in A Thursday and Dasvi and even shared their thoughts with her. A fan shared his new dahi bhalla stall from Ahmedabad to which Yami Gautam replied that her mother loves dahi bhalla and said that she would love to visit the stall next time she comes to Ahmedabad. A fan asked her, "@yamigautam can we see Yami Ji in other Industries #AskYami" to which the actor wrote, "As a fan of cinema, language is never a barrier ! Would love to ! Script !!!! :)". A similar reaction came when a fan asked when she was doing a Bengali film.
A fans asked her, "Hai @yamigautam Mam, What are your new films that are going to release soon? #AskYami". To this Yami Gautam shared a list of her upcoming movies that included Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, Lost, OMG 2 and Dhoom Dhaam. Another fan asked her when will the release of Lost be announced to which the actor replied, "Announcement regarding ‘Lost’ shall happen soon ! Good things take their time & course but it’s all worth in the end :)"
Another fan asked her, "#AskYami What are the challenges you have to face in your life as an actor?" and the actor had this to say, "As an actor the biggest challenge for me is to stay motivated & keep looking for something different & not get stuck or comfortable with anything that feels easy".
A fan asked her about her views on nepotism and how being from non-filmy background affects actors to which Yami Gautam wrote, "What happened in the past is done ! We have to focus on NOW to make this place better with brilliant films & talent, regardless of our respective backgrounds! And I feel that change is definitely happening now".
The actor also talked about her Punjabi film Baghi Di Dhee and told fans about her favourites like Hans Zimmer (composer), Ace Venture (fictional character), Smita Patil (actor), Interstellar (sci-fi movie) and Chandigarh's dahi bhalla and chole tikki chaat (favourite street food). She named Pari from Bala movie as her favourite character played by her.
Yami Gautam will be seen next in Netflix's suspense thriller Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. The movie is directed by Ajay Singh and will star Sunny Kaushal as the lead opposite to Yami Gautam. The film's story is about a flight attendant and her business partner who plan on executing a diamond heist on a flight which goes wrong.
