Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan is staying in the limelight of late for her comments on colourism and discrimination of women. She recently made headlines for her Instagram post, which called for ‘ending colourism’. She also recounted how she has been called ugly because of her skin tone since she was 12 years old.
About Suhana Khan
Suhana Khan is the daughter of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan. She has always been in limelight because of being a star kid. Suhana has two brothers, Aryan Khan and Abram Khan. She completed her secondary education from Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She also took training in pop dancing style from Shaimak Dawar’s Dance Academy.
Suhana loves playing football and she won many football tournaments in her school. She also loves dancing and writing. She won an award for writing at Katha national story writing competition. Suhana also studied films from Ardingly College, England. She is currently a student at New York University.
Suhana is yet to make her debut in Bollywood however, as a celebrity child, she has 1.1 million followers on Instagram. She is active on social media routinely gives her followers an insight into her life.
That she is going to join the film industry seems evident. She has not just been training but also mention in an interview with Vogue, what she likes about acting. “What I love about acting is that I don’t have to be myself, I can be completely different.”
Shahrukh Khan, her father, has said before that she has her own approach towards acting. He mentioned that Suhana doesn’t want to learn acting from him but she wants to be an actress in her own right.
Suhana is a close friend of Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor and Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya Panday.

In 2019, she made her acting debut with the short film “The Grey Part Of Blue”. This 10-minute short film was about a young couple. They were taking a road trip while dealing with their relationship issues. It was directed by Theodore Gimeno and the film also featured Robin Gonella in its cast. Many congratulated both the leads for this film.
Recently when she made a post for ending colourism, she was praised by several celebrities in the comments section.
Suhana wrote on Instagram, “There’s a lot going on right now and this is one of the issues we need to fix!! this isn’t just about me, it’s about every young girl/boy who has grown up feeling inferior for absolutely no reason.” Actress Dipa Khosla praised her and wrote “Awh! Bravo darling! Thanks for joining in.” However, some social media users criticised her and wrote that her father endorsed a fairness cream.
