Who Is Shibani Dandekar? Anchor, Model All Set To Tie The Knot With Farhan Akhtar?

Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar have been grabbing the headlines since they started dating in 2018. Reportedly, the couple is all set to tie the knot in a low profile ceremony in Mumbai in March 2022.

The ceremony is expected to be an intimate affair with the involvement of only close family members and friends.

Who Is Shibani Dandekar?

Shibani Dandekar, is an Indian Australian actor, singer, anchor and model born in Pune, Maharashtra. She was one of the famous faces of the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup and worked as a co-host.

Dandekar along with her sisters, Anusha Dandekar and Apeksha Dandekar, formed a music band called as D-Major.

Shibani started her work with American Television in 20o1 after she moved to New York City. Shows like Namaste America, Asian Variety Show, V Desi earned her greater fame and she introduced India's biggest stars to the American audience.

She has been a participant in the dancing talent show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Dandekar has been anchor for shows like Maxim Hot 100, Nike, Toyota, Mercedes, Horlicks, Spice Mobiles, MTV Coke Studio and many more. She appeared as character "Zoya" in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Roy which did not perform well at the box office.

After the 2020 controversy, that surrounded the death of Bollywood star, Sushant Singh Rajput, she was trolled heavily for supporting Rhea Chakraborty, who is also Dandekar's best friend. However, she faced all the troll and told the followers on her social media account, that she had "no regrets" for supporting her. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Dandekar took her strong stance and supported Chakraborty who has been accused for abetting suicide of Rajput.

Her relationship with the Indian actor, singer and director Farhan Akhtar since 2018 has been much talked about. On her 41st birthday, Shibani Dandekar took to Instagram and showed the tattoo to her followers with name Farhan on her neck as a "gift to herself".

The love story of the couple started when Dandekar met Farhan Akhtar on the sets of "I Can Do That" in 2015 where she was a participant. The couple has since then openly accepted their relationship status by posting frequent pictures of each other and appearing in many events together including the Lakme Fashion Week in 2019.
