Who Is Sajal Aly, The Female Lead In Dhoop Ki Deewar?

Who Is Sajal Aly? Helmed by Haseeb Hasan, and written by Zindagi Gulzar Hai's Umera Ahmed, Dhoop Ki Deewar is all set to stream from June 25. The cross border love story between India and Pakistan stars Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir in the lead roles.

Dhoop Ki Deewar tells the story of a man from India named Vishal, and a woman from Pakistan named Sara, played by Sajal Aly, who after losing their fathers in the war, find their lives interconnected with each other and build a friendship on the base of their shared grief.

Hasan talked about the show and said that it is a reflection of positivity beyond religion, borders and societal biases. He added that the cross-border love story in the show has been dealt with differently, and contains an underlying message of peace, joy and harmony.

1. Aly, known for playing a range of characters, first appeared on screen in a minor role in Geo Tv's comedy-drama Nadaaniyaan.

2. She got her breakthrough with the family drama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain in 2011, and received immense praise for her role.

3. Aly rose to prominence for her leading roles in television series like Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein, Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Meri Ladli, and many more.

4. Her roles in shows like Nanhi, Sannata, Chup Raho and Khuda Dekh Raha Hai earned her widespread recognition and several nominations for Lux Style Award for Best Female Actor.
