Avantika Dassani will star alongside Huma Qureshi in Rohan Sippy's next Mithya which will be a psychological thriller. The first look of the show was revealed on January 27.
Who Is Avantika Dassani ?
Avantika is the daughter of businessman Himalaya Dassani and Bollywood actor Bhagyashree, famous for playing the protagonist in the hit 90's movie Maine Pyaar Kiya. Her brother, Abhimanyu Dassani made his Bollywood debut with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota in 2018 and was also seen in Meenakshi Sundareshwar and now Avantika is ready to join the line of actors from her family.
Avantika is a graduate with a Business and Marketing degree from Cass Business School, London. She was rumoured to be dating singer Armaan Malik. Avantika Dassani is also seen being involved in social works. Her Instagram highlights her work towards the artistic education of under privileged children at an NGO called Saturday Art Class. Avantika celebrates her birthday on January 24 and loves nature and adventure as evident from her social media posts.
Avantika Dassani's Debut Show Mithya First Look Released
The first look of Mithya was revealed on January 27 on the official Twitter handle of Zee5 India with the caption, "Things are not always what they seem. Watch the story of Juhi and Rhea to decide what’s true and what's not. #Mithya coming soon on #ZEE5." Avantika shared the poster on her Instagram and talked about how grateful she was for the release of her first Bollywood project. She wrote, "Things are not always as they seem. So who really is responsible for this web of lies?! #Mithya coming soon on @zee5. Humbled, grateful and ecstatic to announce my very first webseries!" and tagged the team and cast of the show.
During a press conference of the show, Avantika said, "It has been an absolute thrill to take on a challenging character and intriguing story such as this, for my very first endeavour. I’m also immensely grateful to have worked with an incredibly talented and supportive cast and crew,”
Avantika Dassani's debut show, Mithya, will release on Zee5 OTT platform and is going to be a psychological drama helmed by Rohan Sippy. The show stars Huma Qureshi, Rajit Kapur, Parambrata Chatterjee and Samir Soni and will be an adaptation of the British series Cheat released in 2019 which was based on a dangerous relationship between a student and her professor.
