HBO Max released the trailer of the reunion special episode on May 19. The trailer broke down the 90s show's fans after witnessing a teary Matthew Perry who played the role of Chandler and Jennifer Anniston who played the role of Rachel asking for the tissue box after being overwhelmed by memories.

A week before the release of the special episode, Kudrow appeared in an interview show in which she answered questions like Phoebe Buffay.

When asked the question, "Did you ever take those Buzzfeed quizzes of which FRIENDS character are you", Kudrow replied that she did take one and was assigned the character of Rachel, played by Jennifer Aniston.

Assuming the test's response to be some kind of mistake, Kudrow was asked if she retook the test to get the correct character. To this Kudrow replied that she was exhausted enough by the first round of the test to retake it.

The 57-year-old actor said, "I was exhausted by taking it the first time," she added, "Also, I thought I was answering questions that would bring me to Phoebe, you know. Favourite colour? Yellow!… Who would you want to be on a date with? SpongeBob! And then (it) just said, Rachel!"

Kudrow further explained that she "didn't understand the criteria" of getting Phoebe as the answer from the quiz. Moreover, she reported that the dilemmatic answer is funny because when she read the script for the first time, she identified more with the character of Rachel. However, she was denied the character of the rich spoilt girl who denounces her family's wealth to gain independence and self-identity.
