wednesday-Enid's Friendship
The series Wednesday, Addams Family's spin-off directed by Tim Burton has been hit for weird-creepy outstanding performances of characters. Everything in Wednesday is picture-perfect - Wednesday’s outfits, dance moves, and lip colour. One thing many might have failed to notice is the friendship between Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) And Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers). Both end up at Nevermore Academy as outcasts. Wednesday and Enid totally disown the narrative of conventional friendships. To have a strong bond it is not necessary to have a similar thought process, only wavelength should match.

Both Enid's and Wednesday’s personalities contrast with each other but they mid-way. Wednesday is both the underdog misfit, cold, stone-hearted, and the hottest girl in school, while Enid is chipper, colourful, brighter, and full of emotions.

Wednesday-Enid's Friendship

Despite Enid and Wednesday having different personalities their friendship evolves and they get along. Enid respects yet gently keeps pushing Wednesday’s boundaries, she is not good at making friends. Wednesday obsessed with her quest to solve the mystery, she several time throws Enid under the bus, which is dangerous. On other hand, Enid is not ready to put herself in danger but does what it takes to help Wednesday.

Enid is loyal to her, whereas Wednesday is cold and throws a ‘Whatever’ attitude on Enid. But both embrace each other's differences, and never pressure each other to change or come to terms accordingly. That is the best part of their friendship, there is no expectation but only acceptance towards each other. Wednesday and Enid do not try to force each other into something they are not. For instance- After the Poe Cup competition victory, Enid never forces Wednesday to have an after-party, but makes the offer of companionship gently.

They bring out the best in each other. Wednesday makes Enid embrace her strong side, whereas Enid teaches compassion to Wednesday, inducing emotions in her. Enid is always there to rescue her, at one point she also saves her life putting her own life in danger. We all need such a friend, who has our back. They accept you and are ready to stand beside you. Female friendships are often understood to be fragile. Female friendships can be rock-solid is hardly digestible, Wednesday and Enid disown this narrative. Their friendship had a bumpy ride, they stood for each other and met mid-way inspite of their differences.

These pair of BFFs teach boundaries in friendship, they tell how to respect and understand the personality of chosen family. Both talk about each other’s likes and dislikes straightforwardly instead of keeping ends open.

Overall, the bond they share has everything that an ideal friendship requires, respecting boundaries, acceptance towards each other, and being there when required. Together they have major friendship goals.
