Virata Parvam OTT release date is here marking the online debut of the celebrated Telugu movie starring Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati in the lead. The movie was released in theatres on June 17 after many delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The film upon its release was a hit with the audience and received positive reviews from them. On June 29, Netflix released the OTT release schedule for the popular Telugu movie Virata Parvam and the fans can't be more excited about it.
This movie stars Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati in lead roles in a period romance drama set against the backdrop of the Naxalite struggle. Actors Nandita Das, Priyamani, Naveen Chandra, Easwari Rao, Zarina Wahab, and Sai Chand also feature in the film in supporting roles.
The movie is about a naive but educated and independent girl Vennela who falls in love with poetry as well as the poet Aranya aka Ravanna who is a Maoist leader and sets on a journey to find him and spend the rest of her life with him. The movie is directed by Venu Udugula and was made under SLV Cinemas and Suresh Productions banners.
The film, on the opening day itself, earned nearly Rs 2.5 crores worldwide of which Rs 1.5 crore was earned from screenings in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Reportedly, writer and director Udugala was inspired by the events he witnessed in his childhood in Warangal, Telangana. The film is loosely based on the life of the 16-year-old girl Sarala, from the Warangal district, who quit her studies and joined the Peoples War Group. She was killed under mysterious circumstances a month later.
Virata Parvam OTT Release Date
On June 29, Netflix shared the poster of the movie with the caption, "The quest for freedom, the quest for love Get ready to experience the world of Virata Parvam, coming to Netflix," followed by the release date for the movie on the OTT platform.
The movie will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam from July 1 which delighted the audience who were eagerly waiting for it to hit OTT and they can stream it to their heart's content.
