A day after stirring emotions with his retirement announcement, Vikrant Massey has addressed the speculation surrounding his decision. The actor clarified in a new statement that he isn’t quitting acting but taking an extended break to focus on his health and family.

“Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off; I want to better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment,” Vikrant Massey explained.
He continued, “My post has been misinterpreted that I am quitting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I would be back when the time feels right.”
Earlier, speaking to News 18, Massey clarified the confusion further: "I'm not retiring... Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss Home and Health are also acting up... People misread it [the social media post]."
The actor left fans heartbroken earlier this week when he cryptically mentioned he would meet them for “one last time” in 2025. The 37 year old actor took to Instagram on Monday, December 2 to share the heartfelt news with his fans, expressing gratitude for their support throughout his journey.

Vikrant, in his announcement note, reflected on his career and personal life. He wrote, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support.” He added that he felt it was time to take a step back, saying, "But as I move forward, I realize it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father, & son. And also as an actor.”
The actor also hinted at his final projects, stating, “So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between.” Vikrant concluded his heartfelt message with, “Forever indebted.”
As per reports, Vikrant is currently working on two films, Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Fans can look forward to seeing him on screen one last time when these projects are released in 2025.
