Watching a thriller sitting on the edge of the seat in a dimly lit theatre has no match. Although that doesn’t seem to be happening any sooner, we do have plenty of promising thrillers on OTT nearing their premiere this month.

The Tomorrow War

Release date: July 2

The sci-fi thriller features Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, J. K. Simmons, and Betty Gilpin in prominent roles. The film directed by Chris McKay revolves around a time traveller who goes 30 years back in the past to deliver an urgent message. When mankind is on the verge of defeat in a war against an alien species, the hope for survival is put on soldiers and civilians who would be transported to the future.

Haseen Dillruba

Release date: July 2

The thriller is centred around a married couple played by Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey. When the latter is murdered his wife becomes the prime suspect. The film features Harshvardhan Rane as the 'other man' in the relationship. The promising project helmed by Vinil Mathew has an air of mystery to keep the audience hooked.

Fear Street Part 1

Release date: July 2

The horror-thriller based on the book series of the same name by R. L. Stine, is the first part of the trilogy. Set in 1994, the story follows a group of teenagers who connect the brutal deaths around the town to one source. They set out on a mission to take on an evil force wrecking their hometown.

Collar Bomb

Release date: July 9

The forthcoming thriller starring Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead shows him essaying the role of a police inspector. When school kids are taken hostage by a suicide bomber, his character, who is famous for tackling a significant criminal case, is put in charge. The film has been directed by award-winning filmmaker Dnyanesh Zoting.

 

Sky Rojo

Release date: July 23

The Spanish action-thriller follows the life of three prostitutes- Coral, Wendy, and Gina- who escape their brothel after an unexpected turn of events. However, they are chased by their haunting past and their pimp on a wild run for freedom.
