Kahaani (2012)
Kahaani is a thriller film co-written, co-produced, and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. It stars actor Vidya Balan who we will be seeing soon in Sherni. In Kahaani, Balan plays the character of a pregnant woman who is in search of her missing husband in Kolkata.
The incident takes place during the Durga Puja festival. Later she discovers that her husband has been killed and suffers a miscarriage after the shock. The film follows her in her journey to avenge her husband and unborn child's death.

7 Khoon Maaf (2011)
The thriller is a Priyanka Chopra starrer and is an adaptation of the short story Susanna's Seven Husbands by Ruskin Bond. Besides Chopra as the female lead, the cast also stars Vivaan Shah, Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, John Abraham, Aleksandr Dyachenko, Naseeruddin Shah, and Usha Uthup in supporting roles.
In 7 Khoon Maaf, Chopra plays a seductive femme fatale named Susanna Anna-Marie who is an Anglo-Indian woman. Susanna then causes six deaths of her lovers in her unending quest for love.

Six (2021)
Six is a web series that revolves around the murder of a successful and wealthy businessman on New Year’s Eve. As the investigating officers slowly untangle the details, they find six women who are related to the case. All these women had met the deceased on the night of his death.
Mandira Bedi stars as the police officer Ruhana Dhulaap in the series. Other actors are Dipannita Sharma, Nauheed Cyrusi, Sid Makkar, Sulaghna Panigrahi, Urmilla Kothare, Shraya Sharma, Sharma Vibhoutee, Manasi Rachh, and Akash Agarwal. Read more on the female cast of Six here.

The Girl On The Train (2021)
The Girl On The Train is another mystery thriller film based on a novel by Paula Hawkins titled the same. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced under the banner of Amblin Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment.
The story is about an alcoholic and troubled divorcee who finds herself entangled in a murder investigation. Parineeti Chopra stars as the lead. The film also features Avinash Tiwary, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Kirti Kulhari.

Mardaani 1 & 2
Mardaani is a 2014 action thriller film and a sequel was released in 2019. The film stars Rani Mukerji as a policewoman in the lead. The narrative revolves around Shivani Shivaji Roy, police who discovers the secrets of human trafficking conducted in the country by the Indian mafia in the first film. In the sequel, the same policewoman goes on to find crimes and fight them her own way.
