Thalaivii Song Teri Aankhoen Mein Featuring Kangana Ranaut And Arvind Swami Released

Thalaivii Song Teri Aankhoen Mein: The makers of the film Thalaivii have released the second song "Teri Aankhon Mein" with the video. The playback is by Armaan Malik and Prajakta Shukre.

“Teri Aankhoen Mein” features Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swami and is a romantic number. The film is now scheduled to release in theatres on September 10.

Thalaivii is the story of the life and times of J Jayalalithaa. The actor turned politician often know as Aamma who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for more than 14 years. The role will be essayed by Kangana Ranaut. Actor Arvind Swami will be seen as MGR often considered as Amma's inspiration, love interest and mentor. The film also stars Bhagyashree, Nassar and Madhu.

The film was initially scheduled for an April release which got delayed due to the coronavirus situation. Speculations were rife that the film releasing OTT platforms. Actor Ranaut clarified that there were no plans to release the film direct on OTT. It read, "Announcement – Thalaivi digital rights are with Amazon (Tamil) and Netflix (Hindi) none of them can individually stream the movie before theatres release.”

The film also got involved in a legal matter as late Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister’s niece J Deepa filed a petition asking for a ban on the film however her plea was rejected by Madras High Court.

Ranaut , whose Twitter account remains suspended, had shared pictures  on the microblogging site that showcased her transformation into the actor-turned-politician. She has received praise for  perfecting her look in the film. She shared how she gained and lost 20 kg for the role.

Thalaivii has been directed by AL Vijay. The music has been composed by G.V Prakash Kumar and the lyrics are by Irshad Kamil. You can watch the song here:
