Tamil releases in February 2022 promises a variety of genres ranging from action to thriller to romance and drama. With leading Tamil actors including Dhanush, Vikram and Suriya, the Tamil film industry is set to offer a great deal of excitement and fun to its audience. Here are some Tamil-language movies to look forward to in February 2022.

From action to romance, the Tamil film industry has a wide range of genres to offer this February.

1. Etharkkum Thunindhavan

The movie stars actors Suriya, Priyanka Arulmohan and Sathyaraj and is directed by Pandiaraj. The action-drama is produced by Sun Pictures and the music is given by composer D Imman. Actor Suriya reported that his role is expected to be from a different dimension. Earlier, the film Etharkkum Thunindhavan was scheduled to release on February 4 but there are speculations that it may be postponed by a few weeks due to COVID-19 restrictions.

2. Mahaan

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj and starring actors like Vikram, Simran and Dhruv Vikram, the film is an action thriller which features gangster drama between father and son. The film will have real-life father-son duo, Vikram-Dhruv Vikram for the first time on screen. The movie will release in theatres on February 10.

3. Maaran

Maaran features superstar Dhanush along with Malavika Mohanan and is directed by Karthick Naren. According to reports, actor Dhanush will be seen as a Journalist in the film while Mohanan will be seen as photojournalist. The film Maaran will directly release on OTT platform Disney Hotstar+ in February 2022 as announced by the makers.

4. Hey Sinamika

Directed by Brinda Master, Hey Sinamika is a romantic-drama featuring actors Dulquer Salmaan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kajal Aggarwal. The film is produced by Global One Studios and will be released on February 25. The film revolves around a married couple and five years later, the wife wants to get separated from her husband.
