Sushmita Sen Aarya 2: Actor Sushmita Sen announced the second installment of her OTT series Aarya. The sequel titled Aarya 2 will mark the follow-up of the Bollywood actor’s successful digital debut in 2020.
She declared the arrival of the second part and indicated uproar in the upcoming thriller, as she wrote “she sees a storm coming…in the mirror” in her post.
On Thursday Sushmita posted a photo of her eyes on Twitter and captioned it, “She sees a storm coming…in the mirror!!! #Aarya #season2 “your wish is our command” I love you guys!!! Let’s do this @madhvaniram @officialrmfilms @disneyplushotstarvip #TeamAarya #duggadugga.”
The 45-year-old actor was lauded for her performance in the critically acclaimed series. The first season of Aarya directed by Ram Madhvani premiered on Disney Hostar+.

- The show Aarya is based on Spanish Dutch drama titled Penoza.
- Alongside the former Miss Universe, the series also stared Chandrachur Singh, Sikandar Kher, Ankur Bhatia, Alexx ONell and Namit Das in pivotal roles.
- A source revealed the idea behind the second season to Indian Express. “The idea was to continue Aarya’s story and how she deals with newer challenges, while fighting her own family. The team had been prepping up for the new season for a long time, and it’s set to go on floors soon. The show would mostly launch sometime later this year.”
- The release date of the web series has not been announced yet.
- According to Bollywood Hungama, Sen has hiked her fees post the success of season 1 of Aarya.
